Recently, the company organized the first business-focused training session of 2023 for all employees. The training started with the principle of 'Everyone Understands the Business,' focusing on unleashing the employees' potential and enriching their knowledge base. Additionally, various incentive mechanisms were established to enhance employee motivation.
The training was led by a team of mentors including Dr. Yao Kun, the General Manager; Niu Qiusheng, the Deputy General Manager; Dr. Tang Fuguang from the R&D Department; and Zhang Jingyi, also from the R&D Department. The training process was characterized by mutual learning and competition-driven learning.
In the first session, Dr. Yao Kun, one of the mentors, delivered a comprehensive lecture in front of the display stand in the showroom. Starting with the new energy vehicle industry, he vividly explained the applications of lithium batteries in daily life, their advantages and disadvantages, types of lithium batteries, and the materials used in them.
In the second session, the mentor Niu Qiusheng, drawing on his extensive industry experience, provided a detailed and illustrated explanation to the trainees about the functions of the separator in lithium batteries, its manufacturing processes, types of materials used, and coating technologies.
In the third session, following a comprehensive theoretical training, the mentor team led the participants in hands-on chemical experiments in the laboratory. Through the practical tasks of preparing coating slurries, applying coatings to separators, and testing their performance, the participants personally experienced the advantages of the company-developed polymer microspheres as separator coatings, while also deepening their understanding of the production processes for coated separators.
In the fourth session, Dr. Tang Fuguang, one of the mentors, began his lecture in the conference room by discussing the basic building block of carbon nanotubes (CNTs)—carbon. He explained the types of carbon nanotubes, their microscopic structures, exceptional properties, and a variety of both potential and existing applications.
Due to cost constraints, the widespread use of carbon nanotubes has been limited. The company has developed a novel catalyst and innovatively uses recyclable plastics as raw materials for producing carbon nanotubes, which offers inherent advantages in terms of raw material costs and achieving the 'dual carbon' goals.
In the fifth and sixth sessions, Dr. Yao Kun and Dr. Tang Fuguang explained the preparation, characteristics, and highly promising applications of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOF) materials. MOFs can be customized structurally to achieve a variety of properties, enabling their use in fields such as sensors, supercapacitors, solid-state battery electrolytes, and gas separation.
After the nine-day training session, the mentor team conducted a uniform assessment of the trainees through a 10-minute impromptu speech. Trainees and mentors who performed excellently were recognized and rewarded.
This training session, which combined lectures on professional knowledge with practical operations, focused on the company's three strategic business areas. It aimed to enhance employees' business literacy, stimulate innovative thinking, and achieve organizational empowerment and efficiency improvement.
